Operating manuals

Working with a major UK manufacturer of soft drinks, we developed a series of step-by-step process manuals to guide staff through each of the many procedures required to wash out lines, prepare lines for different products, and monitor and trouble-shoot the rinsing filling, capping, labelling and packing processes.

Line operators had to become familiar with the way to operate each machine in the line and recognise and correct faults. This required establishing related training programmes to allow the line operators to extend their skills from one machine to another.

A series of similar manuals was developed for the warehousing processes, including stacking, quarantine, picking and despatch.
